Meghan & James in Asheville, NC

Meghan & James in Asheville, NC
Even a bit of rain couldn't dampen Meghan and James' happiness as they celebrated their nuptials at the Biltmore Estate.
Photos By: Realities Photography, Arden
Location: Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate, Asheville
Meghan and James‘ three-tier chocolate cake with chocolate truffle filling and hazelnut cake with vanilla pastry cream filling was designed with a fern leaf motif and two fairies on top.
Meghan‘s eight bridesmaids brought a rainbow of color -- including lilac over turquoise and hot pink over tangerine -- with their layered chiffon strapless A-line Jim Hjelm Occasions gowns.
Deerpark Restaurant had the best rain plan and the best match for Meghan and James‘ wedding day vision. The ceremony and reception were moved inside due to rain on the wedding day, but, the bride notes, "at least it‘s an Irish blessing!" As it happened, the sun came out in time for the ceremony and streamed through the windows, adding a feel of enchantment to this midsummer night‘s dream-themed wedding.
Photographer Jill Schwarzkopf‘s gentle nature and calm approach sounds like just what every bride needs. "She was actually the one who told me the ceremony was moved inside due to the rain," Meghan says. "She was so excited about the Lodge Room that I didn‘t even mind."
Meghan Boyland and James Mobley met while both were working at the same software company. They spoke for the first time during a happy hour outing with colleagues, and sparks flew.

That same week they had lunch, hit another happy hour, and finally went on a real date that Friday. "After that we slid very easily into a relationship!" the bride says. Two years later, James proposed during a weekend trip to Lake Lure, and they married at Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate.
